vLex's source of income comes from the sales of the contents it offers through its technological platform. Sales systems are:

• Subscription. Through this system, users have unlimited access to all vLex contents during their subscription term.
• Customizable products. Users can customize their platforms based on their specific needs.
• Pay per document. Through this system, users can access the documents they want .

Who uses vLex?

So far, legal scholars have been vLex's traditional users, i.e. users who make exhaustive use of legal information. However, vLex's user typology has become increasingly larger and is composed mainly by :

• Law professionals. Professionals who work with legal information. For instance, law firms, companies' legal departments, law schools, bar associations, law libraries, Social Science graduates, etc..

• In 2000, 3i Group -a venture capital and private equity firm- invested 1.5 millon Euros in the company, which then became vLex .
• Since 2000, vLex has been developing its platform and reaching agreements with the most important publishers in Spain.
• In 2002, Luis and Angel Faus purchased the financial participation from the British 3i Group .
• In 2005, vLex started its international expansion with the launch of vlex.us, a product designed for the U.S. public, and the setting up of a branch office in California..
• In 2007, vLex presented its new global platform with legal contents from 10 countries and a user interface in 7 languages .
• In 2008 we expanded our network to more than 100 countries, and translated our interface into 13 different languages .
