- VLEX, an Internet company who have developed a truly innovative product sold globally, is now looking to recruit a Chief Marketing Officer to work directly with the co-founder and CEO to help drive the company high growth.
- Job Summary
- The CMO reports to the CEO and is a member of the Company’s executive team. He/She will be responsible for providing executive leadership and management of the Company’s marketing organization and in-bound and out-bound marketing activities worldwide, which include: Corporate marketing, partner/channel marketing, product marketing, and product management. The CMO will drive the Company’s efforts to position itself as a visionary leader and potential in its emerging market and to achieve its revenue goals.
- Duties & Responsibilities
- Define the appropriate marketing organization for the company’s maturity/size. Develop and manage the Company’s entire marketing budget.
- Define and direct marketing programs for demand creation and lead generation. Define and lead online user acquisition using SEO, SEM, affiliates and email marketing, optimize online conversions, create lead nurturing and lead qualification programs.
- Define Pricing strategy
- Define Customer Retention Programs, reducing customer churn rate and improving lifetime value. Lead Customer Care Center and oversee call center operations.
- Oversee marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, white papers, trade shows, seminars and events collateral materials, and website marketing materials either directly or on an outsourced basis.
- Work closely with VP Products & Content to define Product Strategy and Content Coverage.
- Work closely with Sales Director to develop and manage channel and partner strategies and programs. Interface with Sales Director for lead tracking and management.
- Work with the CEO and the other executive team members to identify and develop strategic alliances, investors relations, communicate with BoD members, and close/grow major customer accounts.
- Strategic planning including corporate positioning market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans, and related product positioning
- Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all marketing programs and activities.
- Develop internal management reporting and decision-support information and analysis that is timely, accurate and relevant, and that can be relied upon by internal management.
- Experience and Education:
- Demonstrated experience in starting and leading marketing projects
- Experience with Subscription-based companies such as Software-as-a-Service, Telcos, Insurance or Internet providers. Experience with pricing, user segmentation and retention and churn management.
- International experience. Experience developing international business plans and launching new products and platforms throughout the global market.
- Start up with High Growth-stage company experience highly desirable.
- Outstanding record and reputation for marketing acumen, business judgment, analytical skills, leadership and integrity.
- English skills a prerequisite.
- Skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills to test, measure, refine, and report on the impact of marketing programs. Deep analysis of core metrics (all traffic and conversion statistics, growth trends, customer churn and lifetime value). Attention to detail.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and understanding of a "start up" culture
- Highly developed management skills, but committed with a “hands-on” style. Sensitive to the organization and the dynamics of successfully effecting change.
