That Redlands business activity continues increasing, and the city growing in population, is shown by the report of Postmaster Tisdale, which indicates a steady increase in business from month to month. The report for the quarter ending June 30 shows the receipts of the offices to have been nearly $800 greater than for the corresponding quarter of last year, which is almost ten percent increase. The gain for the fiscal year, over that of the preceding year is about five per cent, which is very large for a year's business. In Long Beach, while the gain for the month of June amounted to nearly 10 percent, the year's increase in receipts was but about 3 percent.
