As used in sections 88c-2 to 88c-4 of this title, the term - (1) "academic year" means a regular school year, consisting of two semesters; (2) "page" means a page of the House of Representatives, but such term does not include a full time, permanent employee of the House of Representatives with supervisory responsibility for pages; and (3) "congressional page" means a page of the House of Representatives or the Senate.


Codification

Section is based on section 4 of House Resolution No. 234, Ninety-eighth Congress, June 29, 1983, which was enacted into permanent law by Pub. L. 98-367.

Amendments

1996 - Par. (1). Pub. L. 104-186 substituted "semesters" for "terms". EFFECTIVE DATE Section effective June 29, 1983, see note set out under section 88c-2 of this title.
