  (a) In general (1) Purposes The purposes of this section are - (A) to integrate activities under this chapter with school-to-work activities carried out under other Acts; and (B) to maximize the effective use of resources. (2) Combination of funds To carry out such purposes, a local partnership that receives assistance under subchapter II or III of this chapter may carry out schoolwide school-to-work activities in schools that meet the requirements of subparagraphs (A) and (B) of section 263(g)(1) of the Job Training Partnership Act (29 U.S.C. 1643(g)(1)(A) and (B)) (!1) with funds obtained by combining - (A) Federal funds under this chapter; and (B) other Federal funds made available from among programs under - (i) the provisions of law listed in paragraphs (2) through (6) of section 6212(b) of this title; and (ii) the Job Training Partnership Act (29 U.S.C. 1501 et seq.).(!1) (b) Use of funds A local partnership may use the Federal funds combined under subsection (a) of this section under the requirements of this chapter, except that the provisions relating to the matters specified in paragraphs (1) through (6) and paragraphs (8) and (9) of section 6212(c) of this title, and paragraphs (1) through (3) and paragraphs (5) and (6) of section 6213(b) of this title, that relate to the program through which the funds described in subsection (a)(2)(B) of this section were made available, shall remain in effect with respect to the use of such funds. (c) Additional information in application A local partnership seeking to combine funds under subsection (a) of this section shall include in the application of the local partnership under subchapter II or III of this chapter - (1) a description of the funds the local partnership proposes to combine under the requirements of this chapter; (2) the activities to be carried out with such funds; (3) the specific outcomes expected of participants in schoolwide school-to-work activities; and (4) such other information as the State, or Secretaries, as the case may be, may require. (d) Provision of information The local partnership shall, to the extent feasible, provide information on the proposed combination of Federal funds under subsection (a) of this section to educators, parents, students, advocacy and civil rights organizations, labor and business organizations, and the public.

The Job Training Partnership Act, referred to in subsec. (a)(2), is Pub. L. 97-300, Oct. 13, 1982, 96 Stat. 1322, as amended, which was classified generally to chapter 19 (Sec. 1501 et seq.) of Title 29, Labor, and was repealed by Pub. L. 105-220, title I, Sec. 199(b)(2), (c)(2)(B), Aug. 7, 1998, 112 Stat. 1059, effective July 1, 2000. Section 263 of the Act was classified to section 1643 of Title 29. Pursuant to section 2940(b) of Title 29, references to a provision of the Job Training Partnership Act, effective Aug. 7, 1998, are deemed to refer to that provision or the corresponding provision of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, Pub. L. 105-220, Aug. 7, 1998, 112 Stat. 936, and effective July 1, 2000, are deemed to refer to the corresponding provision of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998.
