* Benjamin Tillman Sauls has been elected vice president and business development officer for Georgia Bank & Trust Co. Mr. Sauls has five years of banking and finance experience and was previously employed by Wachovia Bank. He earned a doctorate from Texas Tech University. Mr. Sauls will be at the bank's Medical Center office.

Sondra Lockhart has been promoted to the bank's assistant vice president of accounting. Ms. Lockhart has 10 years of accounting experience and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Berry College. A former internal auditor for SunTrust Banks, Ms. Lockhart joined Georgia Bank & Trust to help establish a formalized accounting department.
