"I've just been reading in Trib Talk about somebody who thinks that the Ridgeway parents have money and can afford to pay for the bus for their own kid. No, we don't. It's varied socioeconomically. We have lots of variety, and part of it is what makes Ridgeway such a good school, but there are many of us parents who have to work full time to be able to afford just the basic necessities for our children, and trying to pay for buses, which should be part of public education, should not be something we have to do. If the person truly believes that, he needs to tour Ridgeway and take a look at who the kids really are."
