Obituaries

Bettye Jeanne Blake, born December 12, 1924, passed from this life on Sunday, October 16, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Blake, in August 2000.

Bettye is survived by daughters, Candace J. Miller and Susan K. Warren, who choose to remember their mother as the beautiful, happy lady she was before her illness. It is their hope and wish that her remaining family and friends will be able to do the same.

Also surviving are sons-in-law, David V. Miller and Bill Warren; grandchildren, Brant Sanders, Whitney Ridens and Ashley, Layne, Sage, Eric and Andrew Miller; eight great-grandchildren; and Bettye's sisters, Virginia Nance, Billye McKenzie and Sue Freytag.

Visitation will be at Alexander North Chapel from 1 to 3 p.m. today, Tuesday, October 18, 2005, followed by a memorial service celebrating Bettye's life.
