Cpl. Mark Garrett testified for the prosecution at Fonder's murder trial in Bucks County court in Doylestown. Police say Fonder, 66, of Kintnersville, murdered [Rhonda Smith], 42, of Hellertown, Jan. 23 inside an office of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Springfield.

Stylist Bridget Wolters said Fonder returned to the salon Feb. 13 to have her hair done again and quizzed her about a ledger customers sign when they arrive at the salon. Police had instructed salon staff not to discuss the matter, Wolters said, so she just let Fonder ramble on.

Although police found no gunshot residue on the wig, they did find three traces inside Fonder's car, a forensics expert testified. The particles were found on the windshield wiper knob, a door handle and on the driver's seat.
