If any stretch of road in Portland is reminiscent of San Francisco, it's the blocks on West Burnside Street beyond the Interstate 405 overpass, from 16th Avenue westward.

With its close proximity to the freeway, mass transit, PGE Park, fast food restaurants, hole-in-the-wall pubs and funky retail spaces, the neighborhood is about as loud, visceral and urban as Portland gets.
