In pursuit of filtering the greatest amount of storm water, KPFF Civil Engineers was given extra room to expand its design at the Housing Authority of Portland's multifamily development Humboldt Gardens.

Joshua Lighthipe, an engineer with KPFF, said the design is "a slightly different take on green streets."
