Loving wife, mother, and grandmother

Janice L. Condon, 79, of Rockford, Ill., went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2009, in her home surrounded by her family. Janice was born October 21, 1929, at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, Pa., the daughter of Howard L. and Elizabeth (Griffith) Graff.

Janice was raised in Norwood, Pa., and graduated from Glen-Nor High School in 1947. She graduated from the nursing program at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia and then began her nursing career in the operating room at Taylor Hospital. Janice served as a registered nurse in the Army from June 27, 1952, until January 28, 1953. She later moved to Appleton, Wis., where she met Eugene Condon through a local bridge club. Janice and Gene were married in Appleton on January 8, 1976. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church for eight years. Janice was an excellent bridge player and a member of the Rockford Bridge Club. She was a wonderful homemaker, very proud of her home, and lent her artistic talents to drawing, painting, stenciling, and sewing. Janice's treasures in her life were church, ...
