From the Art of New York, a charity art exhibit, sale and auction beginning Wednesday in New York, will benefit Gulf Coast arts communities in their long-term rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Katrina.

The auction, which will be held at the World Financial Center Winter Garden in Manhattan, will include the work of prominent New York and Gulf Coast artists, including Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Yoko Ono, LeRoy Neiman, Peter Max, Tom Otterness, Kendall Shaw, Danny Simmons, Stuart Davis, Gregory Amenoff, De La Vega, Kiki Smith, Duston Spear, Robert Rauschenberg, Ursula von Rydingvard and many others.
