"Cold Mountain" is one of the very few films that can actually take your breath away with its incredible grandeur, poignant performances and flawless dialogue.

The film follows two lovers separated by the Civil War, focusing on both the battlefield and the struggles going on in the small town of Cold Mountain, N.C. Ada Monroe (played by Nicole Kidman) and Inman (played by Jude Law) cling to the few memories they had together, which provide a hope that the future will hold something better than the constant pain and suffering with which they are surrounded.
