LONG BEACH - The answer to a 27-year-old missing person's case was not found in the backyard of a local home Wednesday, but not for lack of trying.
Los Angeles County Coroner's investigators, assisted by a specially trained cadaver search dog named Indy, began excavating the backyard of a Central Long Beach house early Wednesday in the hope of finding the remains of Linda Rollins, who was 27 years old when she disappeared in 1981.Doggedly Pursuing Justice
The dig near Willow Street and California Avenue marked the first of its kind for the Long Beach Police Department, said Cmdr. Laura Farinella.
