Al Quintana and Cody Haerther hit back-to-back, two-out RBI singles in the bottom of the fourth inning, but it wasn't enough to offset the top of the inning, when the Akron Aeros scored five times en route to a 5-2 victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats last night in Manchester.
Akron (41-21) snapped a scoreless tie in the fourth when it sent nine men to the plate against losing pitcher Luis Perez. Jose Constanza walked, Cristo Arnal and Nick Weglarz singled to load the bases, and Carlos Santana's grounder was mishandled by Fisher Cats' shortstop Luis Perez for an error. Constanza scored on the play for a 1-0 lead. Beau Mills then lined a two-run single to right and Carlos Rivero capped the inning with a run-scoring double to left, making the score 5-0.Aeros' Fifth Is Better Than Fishers'
