DAYTON -- Local doctors and hospitals are working to make sure patients with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield won't be forced to change doctors unnecessarily or delay medical care because Anthem dropped Premier Health Partners from its network on New Year's Day.
Doctors within Anthem's network have applied for privileges to practice at other area hospitals in Anthem's network, and Premier has pledged to work with Anthem on urgent individual cases where an interruption in treatment could harm the patient.Anthem, Premier Work to Ease Rift ; Doctors Seek Privileges at Other Hospitals
