Appreciating a Peaceful Park and Its Caretakers




Summary


Like many Beach residents, I get a sense of peace walking along the trails of First Landing State Park. I marvel at the dangling Spanish moss mirrored in the water's surface and admire the turtles sunning themselves on the tree stumps.

Thanks go out to the Cub Scouts and adults who picked up litter there on Clean the Bay Day. Their work is featured on today's Beacon cover.
