If you don't think bowhunting has become extremely popular, consider this: The Ohio Division of Wildlife expects about 250,000 bowhunters -- about half of all deer hunters -- to participate in the statewide archery deer hunting season that opens Sept. 30.

This year's season, which concludes on Feb. 4, will be five days longer than last year.
