Defying convention is nothing new for the Asylum Street Spankers. Since 1995, the eclectic group from Austin, Texas, has irreverently mixed styles, weaving everything from blues and punk to ragtime and bluegrass into their infectious acoustic-based music.
It's no surprise to learn then that members Wammo (vocals, washboard, harmonica), Christina Marrs (vocals, ukulele, guitar, saw), Sick (vocals, mandolin, violin, guitar), Nevada Newman (guitar), PB Shane (upright bass) and Scott Marcus (drums) don't view LPs as just a collection of songs.
