OXFORD -- The Miami University ice hockey team, ranked ninth in the nation, was there, as were RedHawks baseball players, track-and- field athletes, golfers, women's field hockey and volleyball players and many others.

Charlie Coles was there with his entire basketball team, which soon would board a bus for Bowling Green, whom it plays today, Jan. 20.
