Salt Lake City - A violent urban combat video game that prompted a protest organized by the family of a slain Utah police officer is scheduled to be released this week.

The game, called "25 to Life," allows players to be cops or gangsters "while fighting your way up the ranks," according to the Web site of software publisher Eidos.
