Senate President Bob Burns and House Speaker Kirk Adams have warned Gov. Jan Brewer that several of her line-item vetoes of budget appropriations bills may violate the Arizona Constitution, but the pair has sworn off filing a lawsuit.On Sept. 10, Burns and Adams sent a letter to Brewer, noting they believe the governor violated her authority by deleting "policy determinations" in H2006, the general appropriations bill, and H2011, an accompanying bill authorizing funding for K-12 education.
