'Communal harmony prevailing in CHT region'.

State Minister for CHT Affairs Ministry Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing Sunday said communal harmony, peace and development process are prevailing in Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) region, reports BSS. "We are taking various development programmes to accelerate development process in CHT region," he told a discussion marking the completion of 21 years of the CHT Peace Accord in the CIRDAP auditorium. Bir Bahadur said the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had taken development programmes for the development of CHT region. But the development programmes have been hampered after assassination of Bangabandhu, he added.
