The AARP needs volunteers for a program that provides emergency supplies to older people for them to use during hazardous weather.

Sponsored by AARP West Virginia, the Blizzard Box project needs people to assemble and distribute boxes with nonperishable food and bottled water, while also getting the word out on such topics as financial fraud prevention and energy conservation. It's geared toward homebound people who might be isolated during dangerous weather.
