FORT FAIRFIELD - An Aroostook County man who escaped twice from a mental institution after he was found not criminally responsible for two slayings in 1973 is asking for four-hour outings into the community as part of his treatment, according to documents released this week by court officials.
David Gary Fleming, 60, who is a patient at the Riverview Psychiatric Center in the former Augusta Mental Health Institute, is petitioning Kennebec County Superior Court "to be allowed community supervised activity as outlined in the institutional report of June 2005."Court Releases Fleming Petition Patient Seeks Time in Community
