THE SUSPECT: Steven Ray Gonzales, 21, of Colorado Springs.

THE CRIME: John David Ortiz, 24, was shot in the head late May 9 outside Antique Billiard, 3628 Citadel Drive North. Witnesses told police that Ortiz and Gonzales argued before the shooting, and that Ortiz had taunted Gonzales to shoot him, removing the magazine from his gun and pressing it into Gonzales' chest, according to a Colorado Springs police arrest affidavit. Ortiz died days later at a local hospital.
