Noon Tuesday: 30th annual event featuring more than a dozen holiday trees decorated by organizations, groups and area companies, placed throughout the historical home. Decorating theme is "Making Spirits Bright." The Maasai Cultural Exchange Program's (MCEP) sponsored a tree adored with Maasai jewelry, carvings, native cloth and hand-painted wood tiles designed by Tamanend Middle School students. Guided tours run hourly from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays; noon to 3 p.m. Sundays; closed Mondays and run through December 31. Proceeds benefit the historical site. $8; senior citizens and students, $7.
North on York Road from Newington Drive to Summit Avenue, Hatboro, 215-956-9540; www.hatboro-pa.com. 1:45 p.m. Sunday: This year's 48th annual theme is, "Magic of Toyland," with more than 100 entries, and 4,000 folks participating in marching bands, bagpipes, floats, motorcycles, car and dog clubs, clowns and more with the grand finale of Santa and Mrs. [Claus]. Spectators are urged to donate unwrapped toys for the "Toys for Tots" campaign collected by U.S. Marines Corps members during the parade. Event presented by Hatboro Greater Chamber of Commerce.
