"The other coach (Palmyra's Ken Miller) was really funny," [Chelsea Kehr] said. "I was joking around with him and the catcher (Amanda Pelkey), like "Oh, are you going to give me a present?' We were just goofing around, and it ended up working out. It was a nice pitch. It was her drop ball, I think. I knew the second I hit it; that was a sweet hit."

"I saw her taking the lead, and they I looked at (third baseman [Erin Sweeney]) Sweeney," Kehr said. "We made eye contact and I thought, "Yeah, this is going down.' We saw it coming."

"Reality's not that bad," Miller said. "You're talking about having three girls who were on varsity last year. I know we need some work. I was hoping to be a little closer. But we'll keep working, keep fighting, and keep trying to teach them the stuff that we need to get to that level."
