Foreign TV And Radio Broadcasters Required To Establish And Register A Representative Office In Kazakhstan By 1 January 2017

According to one of the recent changes in the Kazakhstan legislation on broadcasting, owners of foreign TV and radio channels are required to register a representative office in Kazakhstan to continue retransmitting their channels to the territory of Kazakhstan as of 1 January 2017.

Publicly-owned foreign TV and radio companies (fully or partially) will not be able to continue to distribute their channels unless they establish a legal entity in Kazakhstan.
