"When Kareem was just a toddler, he was really stubborn," Ana Timbers told the Defender. "When I told him he couldn't do something, he would always do what he wanted to do."

"A lot of people have told me to forget about playing in the National Football League, and even to forget about playing the game of football," Timbers told the Defender. "However, the more they tell me to forget about playing in the NFL, the more determined I am to reach that goal."

"Several scouts have told me that I have the qualities to play in the NFL," [Timbers] stated. "I know if I keep working hard my chance will eventually come. I'm definitely not giving up."
