Gordon County Schools Superintendent Bill McCown said the school board is working hard to make sure cuts from the state aren't passed on to Gordon County residents. The board will set its millage rate after the county receives its tax digest, he said.
"Anybody that receives an assessment that thinks their property is overvalued, they have until Sept. 8 to file an appeal," said Mr. [Scott Clements]."We can be fined not on the one parcel that we're off on but on all 26,000 pieces of property in Gordon County," Mr. Long said.Gordon Updates Property Values
