Here on the first anniversary of the second and final awarding of $225 million in Economic Development Grant Committee grants, one might think the state Development Office would have ongoing, comprehensive status reports on each of the projects.

One would think that the office would have data at its fingertips for each project, including percentage of construction completed, number of construction workers employed, amount of state funding disbursed, and so on. Likewise, for the one project completed to date, the Cabela's hunting and fishing superstore near Wheeling, one might expect the Development Office to have the store's current employment figures.
