YE OLDE notebook: s Looks like the two state universities have indeed snagged some fine basketball talent for next season.

Kevin Jones, the first blue-chip recruit at WVU for Bob Huggins, had a terrific season for Mount Vernon, N.Y. So far, the 6-foot-8 power forward has recorded 22 double-doubles for coach Bob Cimmino, including one for the New York school in its regional final.
