There has been a love affair this spring between Todd Pletcher and the state of Kentucky, a love affair the 37-year-old trainer hopes will last two more weeks.
The 2004 Eclipse Award-winning trainer completed a sweep of Kentucky's major prep races Saturday when his lightly regarded and lightly raced Coin Silver easily dispatched of six rivals to capture Keeneland's Lexington Stakes.Horse Racing; at the Post; `Coin' Toss Goes Pletcher's Way; Sweeps Ky. Pletcher also won the March 26 Lane's End at Turfway Park with Flower Alley and the April 16 Blue Grass at Keeneland with Bandini.
