Veronique Bergeron moved to her new Fort Negley house on the Southside two months ago. She works as a fellow at CreateHere, a nonprofit organization supporting the revitalization of the Southside.

"You can't spend time on the Southside and not want to live here," Ms. Bergeron said.

"A big part of that is because of the support we've gotten from the community," Ms. Bergeron said.

"It's getting better, we're getting more and more traffic every week," he said.
