Mrs. Tina Marie Mireles felt her husband was always helping people, that's why when she decided to donated her husband's corneas after he died at age 37, she knew it was something he would have done in a heartbeat. Her husband died unexpectedly from injuries he sustained after a motorcycle accident. "My husband was a giving man" Mireles stated with a knot in her throat. Mireles was asked about donating her husband's corneas about 15 minutes after he died. "I was stunned of course because this was something I never thought about, but I asked his mother to come into the room to help make the decision and she looked at me and asked what Robert would do. I didn't know. I called his bother all he said to me; Robert was a giving person. I knew right then and there that it [donating his corneas] was the right thing to do." Mireles told La Prensa.
