Mandatory Update Of National Register Of Databases Between January 2 And March 31, 2020 – Colombia

In accordance with the provisions of Decree 090 of 2018 and the External Memo provided by the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, regarding the procedure for updating the information contained in the National Register of Databases, the Data Controller of the personal data must update annually the information registered in the national registry between January 2 and March 31, starting from 2020.

The above, without prejudice to the update that must be made within the 10 business days of each month when there are material changes to the registered information.

In this regard, we would like to remind you that the deadline for fulfilling this obligation will expire on March 31, 2020 so we suggest carrying out the procedure as soon as possible in the interests of avoiding investigations and sanctions for non-compliance with the applicable data protection regulation.
