While it was a rematch of last year's Class 2A sectional final, Tuesday's game between Mater Dei and South Spencer wasn't for the championship at Forest Park; but after their 2-1 win, the Wildcats are happy to at least advance a game closer to a potential title.

"It was a big game for us," coach Shelly Aull said; her team lost 4-1 to the Rebels in last year's sectional. "To come out against them, it was nice to get that win."
