Vehicle manufacturers monitored by the Motorcycle Industry Council sold 369,544 new motorcycles, scooters and ATVs during the winter months, posting a combined 3.5 percent gain (or 12,668 more units sold) over the first quarter 2005. * The biggest jump occurred in January, with ATV and motorcycle manufacturers posting 91,765 new units sold, a 10.1 percent gain over January 2005. February was a down month, with OEMs reporting 105,587 units sold, a drop of 2.3 percent over February 2005.
