Many moms might not realize how important our daughters are to us dads. When these little creatures are born, we hardened men of strength, fortitude and "refusal to ask directions when lost" fame are reduced to quivering piles of flesh the first time these delicate creatures spit up on us. Diaper duty and midnight wakeups are no problem for us because ultimately the concept of "my little girl" is as powerful a force as any testosterone laden activity in our lives.

The choice of the location, the decorations and the band were gently "ripped" away from me as I found myself getting dragged down into the whirlpool of the preparations. There was the obligatory "study group" for the seating chart and I now realize the concept and "importance" of chair covers, color patterns and floral arrangements in the scheme of things. I was definitely lost and out of my element. I was raw meat thrown to the two most important ladies in my life and I was devoured as quickly as a doggie treat.
