Caraline Griffith of Peytona, a student at Sherman Junior High School, has been selected to participate in the People to People Leadership Summit June 10-19 in Orlando, Fla. Griffith was nominated and accepted for the honor based on outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential.

Evan Keith Cole, a Charleston Catholic student, has been named a U.S. National Award winner in science by the U.S. Achievement Academy. He is the son of Richard and Mary Jane Coleman of Elkview and the grandson of Howard and Evelyn Cole of Elkview and John and Mary Cooper of Point Pleasant.
