Larry M. Angell, 74, of Nitro passed away Friday, July 10, 2009, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, after a short illness.

Larry was a Protestant and U.S. Army and Navy veteran. He was an office manager and purchasing agent for Jacobs Engineering, where he traveled all over the United States with his work. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his family.

Surviving are wife Rachel Angell at home; mother, Mabel Angell of Nitro; son, Larry Angell II of Nitro; daughter, Suzette Burns of Rock Branch; brothers, Karl Angell Jr. and Bruce Angell, both of Nitro; sisters, Linda Bonnett and Mary Lois Hall, both of Nitro; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, with the Rev. Brian King officiating

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

Mack Albert Basham, 99 years and 10 months, of Cool Ridge died July 10, 2009. Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Rose & Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Robert "Bob" Brewster, 60, of Hominy Falls died July 9, 2009. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle. At his request, his body will be cremated.

Betty Jane Bullock

Betty Jane Bullock, 87, of Scott Depot, died Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

Born April 5, 1922, to the late Clarence B. and Isabelle Scholl, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Quentin G. Bullock Sr.; and daughter, Susan Bullock Edens.
