Born in Stirrat, W.Va., he moved to St. Petersburg, Fla., in 1969 from Charleston, W.Va. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a driver for Greyhound Bus Lines and retired after 27 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Ruth A.; two sons, Jack G. of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Sam of Eustis, Fla.; and his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Tom Miller of Tampa, Fla.

Arthur Ray Adkins

Arthur Ray Adkins, 83, of Fayetteville, died March 23, 2006. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will follow in Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Noretta "Patty" Allen, 68, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Braxton County, died March 21, 2006. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home, Flatwoods. Burial will be in Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens, Heaters.

Eugene Asbury

Mr. Eugene Asbury, 80, of Bancroft passed away March 21, 2006, in Thomas Memorial Hospital.

He was a member of the Hometown Senior Citizens.
