Denzil B. Adkins, 90, of Alkol died Jan. 3, 2009. Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Adkins-White Cemetery, Alkol.
Austin Albert Anderson IIIMr. Austin Albert "Sam" Anderson III, 53, of St. Albans died Tuesday, December 30, 2008, after a hit-and-run accident.Sam is survived by children, Amanda and husband, Doug Walker, of St. Albans and Michelle and husband, David Hodgson, of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, George and wife, Rachel Anderson, of South Charleston and Anthony and wife, Debbie Anderson, of Campbells Creek; sisters, Connie and husband, Ferlin Maynard, of Marmet and Sharon Gibson of Marmet; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special niece, Kaitlin Johnson, who never stopped praying for him.A tribute to the life of Sam will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, at Harding Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dan McCormick officiating. Private burial will be in Marmet Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
