[Robert Macedonio] called the arrest a stunt for the media, suggesting his client was coerced into making an incriminating statement and "paraded" before the "America's Most Wanted" cameras.

"I didn't want to do this, but what was I going to do?" he said. "I wanted to go forward. My attorney advised me strongly against it."

"I'm thinking of my kids. This is hurting them enough without me going to prison for four or five years," he added. "I don't want to be seen. I'm carrying a shame that I shouldn't be feeling."
