"I think you guys know I feel about Reggie and how much he means to me and has meant to me as far as my walk with Christ and not being afraid to show it because of the way Reggie carried himself, and his pure dominance on the field," [Brian Dawkins] said. "He meant a lot to me. To know I climbed the ranks to tie him and all he's accomplished, that means a lot."

"Going into the season, we wanted to be if not the best unit, one of the best units as far as what we're able to do on the football field, and I think right now we're closing in on being the best unit," Dawkins said. "To have someone from your unit go with you -- I've had that in the past with Troy (Vincent) and Bobby (Taylor) and Lito (Sheppard) and Mike (Lewis) -- it's always a good thing."

"I think I've played a pretty good stint probably these last eight games or so," he said. "Being able to go out on the field and put a certain brand of ball on the field and be an impact player for this defense, whether it be taking on pulling guards sometimes and stuffing the run and being in the back delivering big hits and sending messages, it's a place that I feel comfortable being in."
