In an effort to avoid paying Boise Hawks players a salary large enough to house, feed and clothe themselves (not to mention providing some beer change here and there), the Hawks Booster Club will continue with its annual tradition of pawning the players off onto Boise residents for the duration of the season. As confirmed by Boise Weekly's own former pro-baller, Webster Phil Merrell-who was also once a quartered player-the living situation can be pretty awkward all around (hell, it's hard enough to share the intimate sounds of your bodily functions with your roommates, much less total strangers who happen to be big fans ... and forget making out on the couch!).
