SUPERIOR - More than 200 McDowell County residents turned out Tuesday night at an initial public hearing on a proposed new federal prison. Not a discouraging word was heard from the residents.

"If you need us to come and dig the hole and pour the forms, we're ready to do that too," said Ron Wyatt, president of the McDowell County Chamber of Commerce and the West Virginia Job Services Office.
