Representatives of state and federal agencies will tour the Ford Motor Co.'s former paint-sludge dump in Ringwood this week to see firsthand the leftover industrial waste that residents say has imperiled their health.

The Passaic County hazmat team has visited the site to test soil based on concerns of volunteer fire units. The firefighters are worried about encountering toxic materials if a fire breaks out in this forested former mining area near the New York border. Test results are not in.
